While South America has previously been lucky enough to avoid the CBRN threat, the threat is now coming to it - with Brazil hosting the World Military Games in 2012, the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016 - it can no longer be ignored. See the video below about CTEX one of the supporting partners of the event:
A host of expert speakers from outside the region will be joined by experts from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Argentina, to discuss the all hazards threat - CBRN, Narcotics, IEDs and hazmat. This will be THE major conference in the region, a landmark in the region that will set the agenda for the next ten years.
Hosted in Rio, which will be one of the host cities for the major sporting events, this two day conference and exhibition will be a chance to learn about the plans for the region and also a chance to meet delegates from around the world.
Held in the Rio Sheraton, just metres away from the famous Ipanema Beach, this is a chance to meet all the players in the region and understand their challenges and solutions.
