Bio Threat Identification

The probability of attack using biological agents has become increasingly likely over the past few years. The CBMS Ion-Trap Mass Spectrometer is used for the detection and classification of Biological Warfare Agents (BWAs). 120 CBMS Block I units have been sold to the U.S. Army as part of the United States Army Biological Integrated Detection System.

Our newly developed BioProfiler software is an invaluable tool for the detection of biological warfare agents. Both stationary and mobile evaluation of microbiological agents is possible using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometric measurement.
