Advice & Assistance Counselor CBRN Response Peloton ICMS
CBRN Response Unit, Netherlands Military
In 1992 I started as a conscripted soldier, at the air force instruction & military school, Nimwegen. Until 2008 I spent the most of my career within the air force as an NCO air defender and instructor.
In 2008 I was assigned to join the Guided Missile Group de Peel as an Force Protection advisor, including CBRN. As a specialist I was responsible for the designated area of operations.
In 2011 I started to work in a brand new environment; the so called intensified civil military cooperation (ICMC), more specific in the CBRN Response Unit (CRU). My primary job within the CRU is to give Advice & Assistance for civilian and government organizations such as law enforcement and fire departments, setup training for detection and monitoring teams in mono and multi discipline scenario’s.
Beside my primary task I support the CBRN Centre of Expertise to develop and implement the new radiological chemical reconnaissance vehicle in the CRU.
