  • CBRNe Convergence returned to Orlando to bring together nearly 450 individuals from a range of countries and agencies to discuss trends and improvements in CBRNE defence. Starting off with a workshop on CBRN forensics it built to the two days of streamed presentations and climaxed in a full morning of demonstration of local and national FBI assets as well as state and local partners.

  • The seventh annual CBRNe Convergence saw 600 people descend on New York, the Long Island Hyatt Regency to be exact. Two pre-conference workshops, two aerial CBR assets, over 35 speakers and 60+ exhibitors for three days of CBRN excellence.

  • All Hazard Response was our most ambitious event for the past seven years, combining twenty two presentations with a number of multi-agency exercises. Not only was this ambitious in terms of logistics, bringing together the exercise participants, Paris Fire Brigade, South West Ambulance Service Trust (UK) and the Irish Defence Forces, but also in terms of the weather. Ireland in April can be unforgiving to outdoors activity, and rain in Ireland comes in two forms – vertical and horizontal! As it was the weather, and contingency plans worked – and all three vignettes went off without a hitch!

  • The second to the fifth of November 2010 saw nearly 650 people descend on the Rosen Plaza in Orlando for the 3rd Annual CBRNe Convergence Conference. This was the largest event that the team had run, taking in a preconference workshop of 60 people, a streamed conference with nearly 40 speakers, an exhibition of over 75 companies and a final day demonstration involving five agencies and nearly 200 people!

  • The Hague is the “City of Peace, Justice and Security,” and is home to over 80 international organisations. As well as being home to the International Criminal Court, the Organisationfor the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the Carnegie Foundation, Nato C3 Agency, and Europol; a host of other international and European organisations also make The Hague their home. It comes as no great surprise then that CBRNe World has chosen The Hague as the venue of their next CBRNe Convergence conference and exhibition.

The first of these was CBRNe Focus: Singapore, held in November 2008 at the Civil Defence Academy of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) in Singapore. Singapore is one of the most dynamic and successful countries for dealing with CBRN defence. Professional, well equipped and closely integrated at all levels, they offer a template for many other cities and states.

  • Over 250 delegates and exhibitors attended the opening ceremony of the first CBRNe World conference, CBRNe Convergence, held at the JW Marriott hotel in Bucharest, September 22-24th, 2008.
    The conference, supported by the Romanian MOD had the theme ‘ CONVERGENCE, GROWING CLOSER, STAYING DISTINCT and looked at the merging of military and civilian response to CBRN and EOD/IED threats.  Welcoming speakers from all round the world was the Chairman Colonel (Ret.) Hans Hinrich Kuhl, his first speaker was the Romanian State Secretary for Defence, Corneliu Dobritoiu - a presentation that was televised for Romanian TV!
