As was announced by AirBoss of America Corp on 17 June 2015, AirBoss Defense is to acquire Immediate Response Technologies of Landover, Maryland.

This acquisition positions AirBoss Defense even further in the supply of CBRN Individual Protective Equipment; manufacturing a full suite of CBRN protective hand-wear, footwear, respirators, filters and blowers for the defense and first response markets.  Immediate Response Technologies’ solutions furthermore broaden our client base to include healthcare and medical markets.

Having already collaborated on filter and respirator developments; combining these two businesses creates a respirator capability that shall see the immediate launch of AirBoss Defense’s new Low Burden Mask (LBM) combined with newly designed filters to a broad range of end users world-wide.

Immediate Response Technologies has just recently moved into their new specially designed manufacturing site in Landover, Maryland.  Leveraging this with AirBoss Defense’s CBRN Centre of Expertise in Bromont, Quebec and its main manufacturing site in Acton Vale, Quebec, gives the new combined business a broad developmental and manufacturing base.

Jointly, exploiting each firm’s sales networks will quickly see the broadened product offering, including rapid deployable shelters, mass casualty decontamination systems and sustainment camps, military and healthcare respirators (PAPRs), Individual Patient Isolation and Transportation Systems (ISOPODs), offered to the many end users that count on AirBoss Defense’s knowhow and products.

The management at both firms is very excited about this transaction and adding Immediate Response Technologies to AirBoss Defense truly continues to demonstrate our commitment to the markets that count on us and our dedication to fulfill our mission of providing The Ultimate Protection.
