Norfolk, VA, 12th Sept., 2012 – The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is the latest agency to become a Supporting Partner Organisation (SPO) to CBRNe Convergence 2012, which is another great reason to register for this exciting event ( Singapore, along with the Republic of Korea (the CBRN Defence Command of which is already an SPO), is one of the World’s leading exponents of CBRN defence. The SCDF is the Incident Manager in handling civil emergencies in Singapore and one of the lead agencies in countering CBRN terrorist attacks against the city-state of Singapore. It is a lean, nimble, innovative and highly professional life-saving force. The Commissioner of the Force, Eric Yap, has been a long-term advocate of CBRN defence and some articles on their capability can be found here:

“We are very pleased to announce that the SCDF is now a Supporting Partner Organisation to CBRNe Convergence 2012” announced Gwyn Winfield, Editor of CBRNe World. “We have been a big fan of their capability and feel that they have a lot of specialist knowledge that they can share. Like many major cities in the US, Singapore has a dynamic social mix and needs to blend efficient security with the freedom of its populace. The thing that continually impresses me about Singapore is how they do not always buy a template capability, but go through careful needs assessments and craft solutions that are right for their specific challenges. Bringing the Republic of Korea and Singapore into a single event allows delegates to learn from the brightest CBRN stars in Asia without needing to leave the continental US.”

With the program now complete, and the exhibition 90% full, CBRNe Convergence 2012 is setting the standard for CBRNE conferences. Book your place now:
