The Daily News announced (here) that the Federal grant for New York and its environs has grown for the second straight year. The new Homeland Security Secretary, Jeh Johnson, is a New Yorker by birth and has stated that he identifies with New York’s security needs. The Daily News reported that much of the grant will be distributed to the smaller localities.

This year’s Congress, CBRNe Convergence link will be held in Long Island, and will be a chance for delegates to see how well that money is spent.
